Ann Wolff celebrates her eightieth birthday in late February this year. She is one of the most important and fascinating representatives of the European studio-glass movement. The internationally known artist does not limit herself to the medium of glass. In her sculptural works she also uses materials such as bronze, concrete, stone, and aluminum. In addition, her work includes charcoal and pastel drawings. She has received numerous prizes: most recently the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Glass Art Society in Seattle in 2011 and in the same year the high commendation of the European Foundation for Culture Pro Europe in Strasboug, the European Cultural Award. Ann Wolff lives and works as a freelance artist in Sweden. In recognition of her oeuvre the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung dedicated the exhibition Ann Wolff PERSONA and the accompanying catalog to her in 2014/15.
We sincerely congratulate Ann Wolff on her birthday!
