The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung provides on-going support to four research and educational institutions for ceramics in Höhr-Grenzhausen and Koblenz. The financial support allows these institutions to buy technical equipment required for their ceramic courses. In addition, the foundation awards prize money for outstanding achievements in training courses as well as scholarships for particularly good achievements in courses of study. This year thirteen trainees, pupils, as well as students of Berufsbildende Schule Montabaur, Fachschule für Keramiktechnik, Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, and University of Koblenz-Landau received awards. Numerous representatives of local commerce, science, and public institutions attended the ceremonies at the Ceramics Museum Westerwald.
Last year’s scholarship holders and prize winners had the opportunity to speak at this year’s presentation. They reported on their subsequent career path and gave insights on their personal development. The financial support and events that the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung organizes for the subsidized students, open up many advantages and contacts for their subsequent professional careers.
