Haus der Kunst Munich
Long-term Cooperation and Support

The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung is the new partner and major supporter of Haus der Kunst in Munich. The Haus der Kunst is not only one of the most important museums in Munich, but it also earned an outstanding reputation as one of the leading cultural centres in the world of contemporary art. At first the foundation financed individual projects in the field of photography: in 2015 the exhibition of the artist Stan Douglas and in 2016 the exhibition of James Casebere. It then decided to support the museum on a comprehensive and long-term basis. This funding is intended to help Haus der Kunst to continue to pursue and develop its innovative approach. The annual support has been committed for a period of three years, and may be extended to five years. It goes exclusively into the artistic program, educational work, and research activities. In addition to this grant, the foundation plans to support individual projects of the exhibition hall as well. The cooperation between the foundation and the Haus der Kunst is another important component of arts promotion, besides operating a museum and supporting Art Academies.
