On her trip to China in 2011, Dr. Eva-Maria Fahrner-Tutsek opened the Shanghai Museum of Glass (SHMOG). The foundation had had an advisory function in the planning period, which the museum points out on a display set up not so long ago. A photograph of the exhibition GLASS.CHINA, which the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung presented in 2010, is on view as well. On the expansive grounds of the museum (formerly a bottle factory) the Chinese artist Wang Quin, whose work is already represented in the foundation’s collection, set up a large new studio recently. During her visit there, Dr. Fahrner-Tutsek purchased three further objects. Wang Quin’s works are very subtle, Zen-like. In their reduction, they pick up on a particular direction of Chinese art.
