Second Year of Funding Educational Institutions for Ceramics
Foundation Awards Prize Money and Scholarships

The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung is supporting the campuses in Höhr-Grenzhausen and Koblenz in ceramics at all training levels for the second year. Within the framework of this comprehensive funding program the foundation manager Dr. Anne-Cécile Foulon, representing the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung, awarded this year’s prize money and scholarships on 6 October 2017. A total of fifteen pupils and students from the Ceramics Branch of Berufsbildende Schule Montabaur, Fachschule für Keramik, WesterWaldCampus of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, and Campus Koblenz of the University of Koblenz-Landau received these special distinctions for outstanding achievements and social commitment. The award ceremonies took place at the Keramikmuseum Westerwald in the presence of numerous representatives of the local economy, academia, and public institutions.

The foundation is also helping the four different educational institutions in ceramics to purchase equipment and other technical facilities. The goal of the foundation is to increase the quality and to make teaching and research at all the participating institutions distinctly more attractive. By this means the various educational institutions of ceramic professions and study programs are being strengthened in the long term. Young people are thus to be motivated to choose a career in this area. The foundation also aims to raise the level of awareness of the respective commercial enterprises and associations.
